Anharp Priory.
There was another Jacobean route from Maul on to Saint-Palais, through the priory-hospital of Anharp and Lohitzun. The houses grouped in the Anharp square are reminiscent of those belonging to donations dependent on some priory (Urrutibéhéty, 1965). The donatos were men and women who consecrated themselves to God and the hospital, at the service of pilgrims. They lived in the houses that surrounded the priory and have sometimes been the founders of some villages. The path then passed below Lohitzun where there is a partly Romanesque church.
