Distance from the center of the municipality to San Sebastián: 20 km. Distance to the seat of the judicial district: 21 km. Nearest railway station: Irún, 2.5 km away. It is connected to Irun and Pasajes San Juan via a local road, the first section of which was built in 1865. There was a horse-drawn tram service linking it to Irun, electrified in the second decade of the century. Road to the Higuer lighthouse authorized in 1881.
The airport was inaugurated in 1955 at the site called “San Isidoro,” with a runway 1,200 m long. Expansion took place 1959 and 1961, establishing a regular route to Madrid.
