Forua. The convent of the two Holy Patriarchs of Forua dates from the year 1886, although it is very close to another old one that had existed in the vicinity of Guernica, replacing the one on the island of Izaro that was left in 1719. On October 14, 1889 the new church and the Casa de Campo were inaugurated, donated by D. Mar to Dolores Calabria, from Madrid. A year later, the Choirate was set up, which functioned until its transfer in 1897 to the new convent of Bermeo, nevertheless continuing the Latin Preceptorship, until the convent was further expanded in 1929 and became a second Serophic College. In 1933 he had 9 parents, 6 laymen and 7 serious schoolboys. [ Ref . Fray JR de Larrinaga.]
