SARALEGI MUJIKA, Ekaitz

Gipuzkoan pelotari born in Amezketa on August 14, 1979.

He made his debut on February 25, 2001 at the Beotibar in Tolosa, a fronton for which he has always felt a predilection. Serious and hard-working ball player, Saralegi has stood out in his professional career for his clean and efficient technique. He has left in the memory of many fans the use of a good left hook for the shot, fast and millimetric. Matches for his personal history were those of the Group D group in the 2013 Cuatro y Medio Championship, where he defeated Urrutikoetxea (22-12) or Tit n III (4-22); and the semifinal of that same championship, against Olaizola II, at the Labrit in Pamplona. A match in which Saralegi dominated (taking the lead 16-18) and, although he ended up losing 22-18, he was dismissed by the public with txapelas and applause. He retired in 2015 at the Larrunarri in his native Amezketa, in a tight matchup with his countryman Altuna III, who he is now a botillero. In his palmar as a professional is a runner-up as a couple of 2 (2010); as a fan, he was champion of the %u201CDiario Vasco%u201D Tournament in 1999 and champion of the %u201CDel Antiguo%u201D Tournament in 1996 and 1997. Although he is still linked to the ball, as a striker for the Garfe company, one of his great hobbies is run.
