On March 17, 1978, ETA placed a powerful charge in the plant's reactor. Two workers die -Andr s Guerra and Alberto Negro- and two others are injured by the explosion. The material damages caused are significant. The progressive irruption of ETA in the anti-nuclear fight is going to divide the movement: one part is going to be subjected to a also progressive demobilization, another is going to radicalize their positions adopting openly warmongering attitudes. Under these circumstances, the voices of those calling for reflection and a referendum are beginning to be heard.
