On January 10 and 11, 1982, Bilbao commemorated the centenary of the Navarrese tenor Juli n Gayarre having sung in the church of San Nicol s, at the funeral of businessman Urzar. This act included the performance of the Canarian tenor Alfredo Kraus and Vicente Sardinero. The tribute function to Gayarre, for the same reason, was held at the Albia Coliseum. Lucía de Lamermoor was represented, with Alfredo Kraus, tenor; Vicente Sardinero, tone bar; Adriana Annelli, soprano; Juan Franco Casarini, baritone, Carmen Guerrikabeitia and Alfredo Hilbroon. The orchestra, conducted by Franco Rigoli. The Abao choirs directed by Juanjo Larrinaga; stage manager, Diego Monjo.
