Aviation pioneer. In April 1910, he carried out a series of experimental flights in Pamplona with his No. 1 monoplane, but was involved in an accident. In 1911, he ran a flying school at the Lakua airfield in Vitoria. In April, a series of flights carried out in Pau, in his Bleriot aeroplane at around 100 kilometres per hour, with an uninterrupted time in the air of two hours, earned him warm congratulations in the French press. On 18 January 1912, a display in San Sebastián culminated in an emergency landing in La Concha Bay due to engine failure. On 15 February, he ed the feat with complete success, landing at the Ondarreta airfield. That same month, he completed the San Sebastián–Pasaia–Irun–Hendaye round trip in 35 minutes. He was the first aviator to cross the border via the Pyrenees.
