Joaquín Nicasio Sagastiverri Zavala, certified castrator. Son of Francisco Sagastiverri Balerdi and Mar a Cruz Zavala Illarramendi, he was born in the Amasa neighborhood of Billabona (Gipuzkoa) on October 11, 1843 [1] .
He married in Urnieta (Gipuzkoa) on January 14, 1873 with Angela Larburu Yurramendi [2] and the marriage would have five children, one of them Francisco, a veterinarian.
According to the communication sent on October 28, 1925 by the sub-delegate of Veterinary Medicine of the district of Tolosa, Mr. Ramón Aldasoro, to the Honorable Mr. Inspector General of Health, he had the title of Castrator since December 28, 1872 [3] .
