He is co-author, together with Fernando García de Cortázar, of the volume Breve historia de España (Breve historia de España, Alianza Editorial, Madrid, 199), a book that has gone through successive editions and reprints, such as the one published by Círculo de Lectores (2001), which has become a best seller in popular history and has been translated into other languages, such as Italian. He is also co-author, together with Fernando García de Cortázar himself, of another history manual entitled Biografía de España (Galaxia Gutenberg-Círculo de Lectores, Barcelona, 1998).
He has published historical articles in specialised journals and collective publications, such as ‘El mea culpa del historiador’, in the book Debates para una historia viva (University of Deusto, Bilbao, 1990). In 1998, he participated as a lecturer in the summer course ‘Biography of Spain’, directed by Fernando García de Cortázar, at the University of Cantabria, in collaboration with the Fundación Grupo Correo.
