Baztandarren Biltzarra (1977 version)

This festival of brotherhood of the villages of Baztan has been held in Elizondo since 1963. It is the most popular festival in the valley as the 15 villages that make up the valley take part.

The festivities begin with a mass and a parade of floats. Each of the villages of Baztan presents one. The fiesta continues afterwards with the mutil-dantza or men's dance in the Town Hall square and a popular meal. As usual, throughout the day, stalls are set up to exhibit crafts and sell local products. There are also games of lax, a form of pelota.

After some years in which the festival was in decline and after being suspended on some occasions, it was revived the 20th and 21st centuries.
