Basque political and business personality, born in Bilbao on December 25, 1934.
PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Bilbao Higher School of Industrial Engineers; degree in Economic Sciences from the Sarriko faculty; degree in Computer Science from the University of Madrid. He has taught at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers in his city and at the University of Deusto.
Head of the list for the Basque Nationalist Party , in the 1979 municipal elections for Getxo (Bizkaia), I was elected mayor.
In 1983 he was appointed Minister of Health and Social Security of the Basque Government. Parliamentarian of the Euzko-Abertzaleak-Basque Nationalists Group 1984-1986; 1987-1990 and 1990-1994.
He has held various management positions at IBM, Univac or Ericsson. In 1985 he was named the first president of the recently created Indelec . He has been president of the Robotiker Foundation for four years.
