Author of newspaper articles on the Basque-language page of the San Sebastian newspaper La Constancia (1920-1930). He was born in Antzuola (Gipuzkoa) on 2 January 1885 and spent his childhood in the ‘Mieka’ farmhouse in Bergara. In 1887, he returned to his native home to help his widowed father. He then worked at the tannery in Antzuola and in 1905 he settled in Durango and joined the Durango choir. In 1905, he worked as a teacher in Uzarraga (Antzuola).
