GEOGRAPHY (GIPUZKOA: HYDROGRAPHY)

River Urumea. It rises in Navarre, at an altitude of around 700 metres. A stream that springs from Mount Erakurri, in the Leiza-Ezkurra area, and another that flows down from the Zubieta pass join to form the River Urumea. It flows through Goizueta (N.) and receives the Añarbe, which comes from Artikutza (N.), on the border Guipúzcoa and Navarre. It enters Guipúzcoa through Pikoaga and flows into the Bay of Biscay Urgull and Zurriola beach, in San Sebastián. Its total length is 53 km. Before reaching the sea, it passes through the Gipuzkoan towns of Hernani, Astigarraga and the Loyola district.
