Resistente contra la ocupación alemana durante la II Guerra Mundial. Residía en Mauleón y prestó servicio como «mugalari» en la zona de Zuberoa. Tras la contienda fue condecorado con la estrella CDG de bronce «Cité à l'ordre du Régiment» y obtuvo el diploma de «passeur» voluntario.
