Músico chileno de origen vasco, nacido en 1905. Discípulo de Dukas en París y de Hindemith en Berlín. Secretario del Conservatorio Nacional de Santiago. Autor folklorista de música coral y de cámara, entre su obra destacan páginas como Estampas de Chile y el ballet La guitarra del diablo .
