Personalidad vizcaina. Miembro del Partido Conservador Monárquico, fue presidente del Círculo Maurista de Bilbao. Concejal de la Villa elegido en 1920, en 1925 formó parte del grupo que dimitió al anexionarse Deusto y Begoña a Bilbao. Presidente de la Sociedad Bilbaina en 1943-44.
