Guerrillero carlista alavés que tuvo destacadas actuaciones en la II guerra (1870-1876). Se hizo llamar, aunque no se sabe con certeza si fue nombrado para tal grado, comandante. Participó brillantemente en la toma de Laguardia (Álava) en 1874.
