Tratado de Briones. En el marco de las guerras entre Enrique II de Castilla y Carlos II de Navarra, San Adrián fue uno de los castillos y lugares navarros dados en prenda a Castilla para el cumplimiento del tratado de Briones de 1379. (v. BRIONES Hist.).
