Batalla librada por las naves guipuzcoanas contra la flota inglesa mandada por su mismo soberano Eduardo III el 13 de agosto de 1350, en venganza de las «razzias» piratas que en nuestras costas llevaban a cabo los ingleses. Más de 24 grandes navíos perdieron los guipuzcoanos.
