Vara de hierro dotada de empuñadura de madera decorada con algún signo religioso que se utilizó en Navarra para marcar animales en la frente a fin de prevenir ritualmente la rabia. Se usó también en el Medievo y Antiguo Régimen para penalizar a las personas incursas en algún delito.
