Regidor y Correo mayor de Bilbao. Natural de Artziniega (Álava). En 1565, se extendió una epidemia de peste por Álava afectando a su familia. A causa de esto, se le aisló en Aguirre en una casa. En 1566 pidió autorización para volver a su casa en Bilbao.
