Licenciado en Geografía. Miembro fundador de INGEBA, formando parte del equipo de dirección, y siendo jefe de grupo de la sección de Geografía Regional y Comarcal. Colaborador y miembro del Consejo de Redacción de la revista «Lurralde». Coautor de Geografía de Euskal Herria, Donostia, 1979-1980.
