Ingeniero vizcaíno natural de Bermeo. Ingresó en el Cuerpo de Ingenieros de Montes en el año 1889. Jefe del Catálogo de Montes Protectores, vocal y consejero de Economía Nacional desde 1922, fue también vocal de la Asamblea Nacional de Ingenieros de montes.
