Clérigo alavés del s. XVI natural de Berantevilla (Álava), colegial y doctor de la Universidad de Oñate. En 1570 ingresa en el Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé de Salamanca donde estudió leyes. Fue canónigo de la Catedral de León e inquisidor de Santiago de Compostela donde murió.
