Río afluente del Bidasoa por su margen derecha. N. a los 43° 14' 25" y 2° 12' 40" (Hoja n.° 66), al N. del término de Maya del Baztán (Navarra), a más de 700 m. de altura. En su recorrido recibe seis cursos de agua por ambas orillas.
