Título de Castilla concedido en 1541 a Bernardino Pimentel y Almansa, señor de Távara. En 1641 lo ostentaba Enrique Enríquez Pimentel, virrey de Navarra. En 1951 pasa a ostentarlo M.ª Belén de Arteaga y Falguera.
