Título concedido el 19 de septiembre de 1662 a D. Pedro Ibáñez de Segovia y Leguizamón, Manrique y Paredes. La grandeza de España le es otorgada el 19 de marzo de 1744 al V marqués D. Martín Manuel González de Castejón e Ibáñez de Segovia. En 1969 pasa a ostentarlo D. Enrique de Queralt y Chávarri.
