Coronel guipuzcoano que intervino en la batalla de Belate cuando se retiraban las fuerzas navarras hacia la frontera francesa en 1512. Como recuerdo de tal jornada se colocaron los doce cañones del escudo de Gipuzkoa retirados en 1979 del mismo por las Juntas Generales.
