Iturriza, citando al P. Coscojales, da a conocer la existencia de la iglesia de San Esteban de Largatxa como sufragánea de San Juan de Berbíquiz. Dice que se ignora dónde estuvo edificada «aunque existía en el de 1610 con el título de San Esteban de Lanzagorta».
