Deportista donostiarra nació el 18 de marzo de 1918, hijo del célebre «Gil Baré». Fue campeón de 100 mts. espalda en 1940, 1941 y 1942. Portero de hockey de la selección guipuzcoana y recordman de relevos 3 por 100 estilos en 1941.
