Se trata de Calahorra vascona en cita de Strabón (III, 4, 10). Se ve también con el nombre Kalagorina en cita de Ptolomeo (II, 6, 66). Las demás citas antiguas son Calagurris (Plinio, III, 24), Calagurra (Itinerario).
