Arroyo afluente del de Mula, siéndolo éste, a su vez, del río Oria. Nace a los 43° 06' 5" y 1° 38' (Hoja n.° 89), al O. del término de Lizarza (Gipuzkoa), al SO. de la localidad de Larzabal, al N. del monte Otxabio (789 m.).
