Retratado por Goya según lo asegura A. Rodríguez Herrero en un artículo en "Vida Vasca" de 1948. Comendador de Estremera de la Orden de Santiago, Caballero de Calatrava y de Alcántara. Su estatua yacente y la de su esposa, se hallan actualmente en la capilla del cementerio de Polloe.
