Laburdino que emigró a Argentina en el siglo XIX. Junto con Ribes -otro laburdino emigrado- estableció la primera línea telefónica que se conoce de Sudamérica. En 1874 fue el fundador y el impulsor de la industria vinícola en Uruguay.
