Bosque bajonavarro situado en la tierra de Arberoa. Un doc. de 1321 da cuenta de la sentencia dictada por el gobernador de Navarra sobre las contiendas habidas entre las gentes de este valle y las del concejo de Labastida (Labastide-Clairence) a propósito de los yermos y términos de estas tierras.
