Término pamplonés lindante con Mutilva Baja. Se trata de una eminencia o colina a la que parece referirse el vocablo gari = altura. También puede derivarse el topónimo de Garitoáin y traducir gari por trigo, dando a entender algo así como encima de los trigales. Ref. Elías Martínez de Lecea.
