Inaugurado en Barcelona el 31 de mayo de 1888, celebrándose festivales de pelota con motivo de la Exposición Universal. Estuvo emplazado en la calle de la Diputación. La cancha tuvo inicialmente 17 cuadros, luego reducidos a 15.
