Fundó en 1865 un gran establecimiento de horticultura. Era perito-agronómo horticultor, caballero de la real y distinguida Orden de Carlos III y miembro de la Sociedad Nacional de Horticultura de Francia. Los catálogos de su establecimiento se publicaron en 1868, 1893 y 1915-1916.
