Escritor vizcaíno. En 1972 publicó su primer poemario Árbol joven y eterno. En 1978 se le concedió un accésit en los premios otorgados por el Gobierno Vasco por Poemas de los lagos. Autor asimismo de novelas como Una vida breve (Premio Dolores Medio 1992) y La montaña de algodón.
