Funcionario nacido en Navarra que en 1768 pasó a Nueva España (México) en donde llegó a ser contador de los reales bienes del obispado de Oaxaca en 1793, tras 23 años de servicio a la corona. Fue caballero de la Real Orden de Carlos III y contrajo nupcias con Manuela Barroeta Echezarreta.
