Puerto en la culminación de la llamada «cuesta de Areitio» con una altitud de 346 m. Está situado en el km. 39 de la carretera que une Ermua con Zaldíbar, en el lugar donde se bifurcan dicha carretera y la que va a Mallavia. Espléndidos panoramas en todas direcciones.
