Funcionario real alavés; marchó a Nueva España en 1713 donde fue contador del Tribunal de Cuentas de México y de Zacatecas y capitán de guerra y alcalde mayor de San Miguel en 1715. En 1724 fue nombrado alcalde mayor de Istlabaca y Metepeque y en 1728 de Chalco Talmananco y Tlayacapa.
