Hijo del célebre Almanzor y comúnmente llamado en Córdoba Sanchuelo porque su madre era hija del Rey Sancho de Navarra. Hacía alarde de su origen y de no cumplir los preceptos del Corán. Su vida fue desastrosa y tuvo un trágico fin.
