During the early 1940s, he enjoyed great popularity in the country, but his artistic personality was mainly established in the United States. His performances in person, his records, his radio and TV appearances are countless. But his definitive international consecration came in the American film, produced by Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Fiesta brava, a colour musical , alongside Esther Williams, Cyd Charise and Ricardo Montalbán.
